Tahira Rehmatullah is an experienced cannabis industry professional who currently serves as a Partner at Highlands Venture Partners, Co-founder of Commons, and member of the board of directors of the Last Prisoner Project. As an investor and adviser to numerous cannabis businesses and entrepreneurs, Tahira is particularly committed to promoting BIPOC and female leadership in this dynamic and rapidly growing field.
Tahira's previous positions include roles at MTech Acquisition Corp., Hypur Ventures, Marley Natural, Privateer Holdings, City First Enterprises, Perry Capital, and Ernst & Young. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Tahira is also a co-author of the book, Waiting to Inhale: Cannabis Legalization and the Fight for Racial Justice, released in April 2023 by MIT Press.
Tahira earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a B.S. in Finance from The Ohio State University. She resides in New York City.
