Effective January 2026:

Applications are currently open ONLY to those who meet the criteria below for “CURRENTLY/FORMERLY INCARCERATED.” Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer family support grants to the children/dependents of constituents. We are also unable to offer grants to individuals who were not enrolled in our programs during incarceration.

GUIDELINES — LPP CONSTITUENTS

  • The applicant must have been approved for and enrolled in one of our Legal or Advocacy programs during their incarceration (i.e., our Commissary Support Fund, Letter Writing Program, or Cannabis Justice Initiative)
  • The applicant must be currently incarcerated OR recently released from prison (within the past year) for cannabis.
  • If the application is successful, the grant will be awarded to the incarcerated individual after they are released from prison.

Cannabis Industry Educational Scholarships

Here are some cannabis industry educational scholarships we currently offer through our partners. If interested, you can fill out your information at the link at the bottom of the page, and another LPP team member will make sure to reach out to you with more info.


Early Termination of Supervised Release (eligible after 18 months on supervised release)

LPP's ETSR program aims to help our constituents terminate the supervised release portion of their sentence before its natural expiration so that they may move forward with their lives without the burden of ongoing government supervision. Under this program, you will be assigned an attorney to assist you in filing and litigating your motion for ETSR. The program is open to eligible constituents who have been on SR for at least 18 months following incarceration.

Be sure to also check "yes" to the question "Are you or your loved one currently on supervised release and would you like assistance getting off of supervised release early?"
