KAREN FROMEL
Development Associate
Karen has over a decade of fundraising experience with nonprofits and served for ten months as an Interim Executive Director of a charity. She has volunteered as a board President, and Secretary. She also held the position of Travis County Commissioner and was on the local fire department board for three years.
In addition to working in nonprofit, Karen produces the Texas Hemp Awards and uses it as a fundraiser for Last Prisoner Project, bringing several Texas companies on board as financial supporters.
She first began volunteering for Last Prisoner Project before their official launch in September of 2019, the same time she was launching the Texas Hemp Awards. She officially joined the development team working part time in 2021.
