Cannabis Justice Initiative Director
Mariah Daly is the Director of the Last Prisoner Project’s Cannabis Justice Initiative (CJI) – LPP’s legal program. Since 2019, the Cannabis Justice Initiative (CJI) has fought to secure the release of those unjustly imprisoned through clemency, compassionate release, resentencing, and early termination of supervised release. The CJI operates at the heart of LPP's mission, providing direct pro bono representation from over 400 attorneys and 76 law firms and clinics nationwide to help secure freedom for our constituents through legal intervention.
After serving as a Student Judicial Clerk at the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Ohio for the Honorable Judge Vascura, Mariah authored Franklin County’s Record Sealing Guide for Felonies & Misdemeanors in Columbus, Ohio. Mariah later went on to sign a book deal with Eliva Press who published her works as an academic law book titled “BOXED INTO A CORNER: The Fight to Ban Employers from Boxing out Deserving Job Applicants on the Basis of Criminal Record” available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retail locations.
Mariah earned her B.A. and J.D. from The Ohio State University.
